Silverado RST Order Specs Grandma-EV, April 1, 2024June 30, 2024 I thought some of you might be interested in the actual order specs that were printed out by my Chevy Dealer when we ordered our Silverado RST 2024 – First Edition. I am sure this isn’t a complete list. Also, note there are no prices! Here is the scan of the printout:Silverado RST Order PrintoutPersonal information was edited out. There are some funny lines:Engine None (Electric Motors)Transmission None (Electric Drive Units) We paid the $100 reservation fee back in May of 2022. When we ordered, on March 12, 2024, we were told there was no obligation to buy and no more money needed at that time. They said, when it comes in, come test drive it, and if we didn’t like it, just say “nope” and we’ll get our $100 reservation fee returned. It seemed pretty straightforward and no risk.My Ordering Experience-About a week before, I heard that ordering would open up on March 11, 2024. I emailed my dealer with all my reservation information to see if I’d be able to order. At first, they seemed to know nothing about the opening order date. But a few hours later they called me back to say, yes, I can order. I think I may have prompted them to contact GM to find the information. After that, I got a couple of emails from the dealer and GM about ordering. I was rather put off that I could only get black. My hubby and I debated for a long time and in doing so, we missed ordering on that first day. But we came around and ordered on March 12th. The dealer did tell me that I could order white if I waited until May, but those were the only two colors for the 2024 First Edition. You know how buying a vehicle takes HOURS at the dealership? Grampa-EV and I were braced for the long haul when we went there. It was a surprisingly quick process. There were no options to pick, well, other than dealer add-ons, like rubber floor mats, etc. We’ll look into those later. No additional money was requested, no obligation, quick in and out. It was a bit anticlimactic!Small Rant-So, all the old advertising has been that bright blue for the RST. There are now also pictures of a truck in a gray-blue color. I think this is false advertising! Come on GM! If I’m gonna drop $105K+ on a vehicle, let me pick my color! Quit teasing us!Rant Complete, I feel a bit better.
